A small, free tool that downloads your own Twitch VODs before Twitch recycles them off its retention window. Log in with Twitch in one click, pick from your own VOD list, and download at the quality you choose. No keys to paste, no account details to hand over. Pay what you want.

What it does

• One-click Twitch login. No developer setup, nothing to paste, and your password only ever goes to Twitch.
• Your own VOD list. Titles, dates, length, and a days-left warning that turns red as a VOD nears Twitch's retention cliff.
• Pick your quality. Source, 1080p, or 720p, with graceful fallback if a VOD was recorded lower.
• Manual URLs too. Paste any public VOD link, no login required.
• Download history with a posted-to-YouTube tickbox, so you can track what you have reuploaded.
• One file. No Python, no setup. Windows, plus ffmpeg, which VIP can install for you in one click.

Why VIP

With other Twitch VOD grabbers no longer being maintained, or strictly in browser, VIP is built to be the current, no-fuss option: a modern one-click login, active updates, and a built-in helper to install ffmpeg if you do not already have it.

How the Twitch login works

Click Log in with Twitch. Your browser opens to Twitch's own page, you click Authorize, and you come back to VIP with your VODs listed. In the normal case there is nothing to type. VIP uses Twitch's official login, so your password only ever goes to Twitch, never to VIP. Your session is stored on your own machine and refreshes itself; after about a month idle you just log in again.

Installing ffmpeg (one click, or do it yourself)

VIP uses ffmpeg, a free open-source tool, to join Twitch's separate audio and video into one file. If you do not have it yet, open the Extras tab and click the installer, or do it yourself in Command Prompt with winget install ffmpeg. Both run the exact same command. Doing it yourself is the transparent option and totally fine.

Stay safe: make sure it is really VIP

Only download VIP from this itch page or directly from Kylealamode. If you get it anywhere else, it may be a fake or tampered build. VIP logs in through Twitch's own page and never asks for your Twitch password. If anything calling itself VIP asks you to type your Twitch password into it, close it: that is not this program.

Requirements

Windows. ffmpeg (installable in one click from inside VIP). That is it. The download is a single file, no Python or extra installs needed. First launch is a touch slow while the one-file app unpacks, which is normal.
